Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

 

Placing an order

When you’ve chosen your piece(s) of jewellery please add to your basket and follow the instructions on-screen. If you would like to know more about an item then please contact us before making payment via the ‘contact us’ form.

 

Payment

I accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Switch. Payments will be made into our Paypal account. Paypal is free to use and offers security to both parties. You do not need to have a Paypal account to use this service. However you may also pay via an existing Paypal account if you prefer.

UK Customers only: I also accept payment via bank transfer, postal order or cheque. A note with the order number and customer's email must be included with PO & cheque payments. I do not accept cheques or money orders in any currency other than GBP. Please ensure your payment is received within 14 days of checking-out. Failure to do this will result in the item(s) being re-listed. Orders will not be posted until payment has been received and cleared (in the case of Postal Orders and cheques). We aim to despatch your order within 24 hours of cleared payment.

EU & Worldwide customers: I can only accept payments Via Paypal.

 

Delivery

Items are sent via Royal Mail, though on occasion a courier may be used. Please note that Royal Mail’s ‘signed-for’ service only ensures that a signature is obtained. It does not insure your jewellery. Insurance for your purchase can be opted for at the check-out. We recommend this for important or higher value purchases. Please contact us for shipping and insurance details if you are outside the UK mainland.

We aim to post within 24 hours of your payment clearing. This does not include Saturdays, Sundays and UK Bank Holidays. Please note that during busier periods dispatch may take up to 48 hours.

Seasonal/Christmas orders: it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure payment has cleared 48 hours before Royal Mail’s postal deadline for timely delivery. This advice also applies to any calendar event for which you are making a purchase. If you are unsure of the deadline, please do not hesitate to contact me.

We will endeavour to despatch goods within the times stated however due to seasonal demand, postal strikes and adverse weather conditions, delivery is sometimes outside our control. Any dates I specify for the delivery of goods are based on Royal Mail data, and given in good faith. They are non-contractual, and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay to the delivery of goods.

Should delivery be delayed for more than 21 days you have the right to contact us and refuse to accept the goods. In this case we will refund any money paid by you for the goods, including postage.

If you delay accepting a delivery, our responsibility for everything other than damage due to our negligence will end on the date the carrier first tried to deliver the goods to you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must inform us as soon as possible. Our returns department will offer guidance in such circumstances.

 

Postage and postage cost

All prices on our website are exclusive of 'signed for' delivery or optional insured express delivery charges, which will be payable as indicated at the check-out at the time of placing your order.

 

Replacements

All our items are single-stock, pre-loved pieces of jewellery with their own histories. Often we sell items that are hard to find, in styles and designs that we rarely see elsewhere. As such we are unable to offer replacement items for anything we hold in stock, due to the fact that you will have purchased our only current example.

 

Returns, refunds and order cancellations

If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you have the right to cancel and/or return your order within 14 days from date of delivery for refund and in certain circumstances delivery charges.

Prior to returning any products, please contact me within 14 days from the date of delivery. If you do not return goods within 14 days after you have informed me that you wish to cancel and/or return your order, your right to cancel or return your order will be revoked.

1) Damages and faulty items

If your item is damaged or faulty upon receipt please contact us as soon as practicably possible and we can initiate the return. Please keep all packaging especially if the parcel/envelope has been damaged during transit as I will require photographic proof of damage in order to take up any issue with the courier.

2) Not as described

We pride ourselves on the accuracy and honesty of our descriptions. After all, some people want their pre-loved jewellery to be as pristine as possible whilst others appreciate the history given by a little wear. Should you believe that an item supplied is not as described, please contact us. We will endeavour to rectify the situation, but in the unlikely event that this is not possible we will follow the steps outlined in our returns procedure. Please note that returns and refunds in this instance will be solely at our discretion.

All photographs, descriptive matter, and specifications on our website are for the sole purpose of providing description of the goods. However, if you buy goods which have an unsuitable specification which was not apparent from our website, we will accept the return of the goods providing the condition remains the same and refund the cost of the goods including postage.

Photographs of purchased items will be retained for 90 days from the date of sale.

3) Change of mind

Very rarely we find that a customer decides that they have changed their opinion of a piece in the time between payment and receipt. Again, please contact us first in this instance. There will be a modest restocking fee of £2.50 before we can accept a change-of-heart return, and postage will be at your expense. It is your responsibility to return any such items in the same saleable condition in its original packaging whenever possible. You will be wholly responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return unless faulty/damaged. Goods received by us that are incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable, will be returned to you and no refund will be issued. It is recommended that you send item(s) back using a signed for service as we will not refund if any items are lost in the postal system (proof of postage such as a clear photo of the 'certificate of posting' displaying our return address/postcode is suitable).

4) Cancelling your order before the item has been despatched

If you wish to cancel your order you can either use the 'contact us' form or e-mail: [email protected]

We will refund your original payment within 48 hours of receiving the item, subject to it being received in the same condition we sent it.

 

Other

We have the right to terminate any contract between us without notice or penalty. In the event of termination we shall refund to you all sums paid by you to us.

You will only own the goods once we have received payment in full.

We do not offer any credit facilities.

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise. If you have a complaint contact us at [email protected]
